Link: "What is Affiliate Marketing?"

Looking for a topic to discuss, I ran across a pretty good one for beginners.

In an earlier post, I tried to answer this question by comparing it to other computer and/or marketing terms that are not the same but are often confused with Internet Marketing.

Affiliate Marketing is something that can be done offline or online, but today it is most often done online.

Here is a link to someone else's explanation of Affiliate Marketing:

Let me know if you want me to put together my own explanation for this.

Welcome to the Flint Internet Marketing Club

The Flint Internet Marketing Club is being formed, still, but I am hoping to find a home for this--SOON.

This part of the country--and state in particular--need a lot of help.

My name is Chris Wechner, and I envision this club being able to help people learn about Internet Marketing and possibly make money as a marketer, if not also an Affiliate Marketer.

I started learning about Internet Marketing in July 2009.  So I am relatively new to this, but I know that I can help people who are brand new to this.

I've had several influences, including:  Mark Maupin, Ardis Barnes, David Pifer, Crystal Hart, Diana Masuoka, Randy Overly, Darnell Tolbert, and many others.  I learned tidbits from several others along the way, too.  Collectively, they taught me a lot, but I have even more to learn.

I'm also excited about learning things from people who come to the event.

At first, there might only be a few of us.  However, as we grow, other speakers will come.

Eventually, the club might offer courses or personal coaching.  For now, this is meant to be a free forum--free in cost and in idea exchange.

I am trying to model much of this club as what Mark Maupin does at Wayne County Community College (WCCC).  You can see his upcoming events at http://www.MegaEveningEvent.com.

So, good luck to us all, as we begin with a great idea.  Hopefully, it will evolve from being a concept to powerful reality.  I'm looking forward to it.
